Réactions face au miracle

"Et toi, Capharnaüm, qui as été élevée au ciel, tu seras abaissée en enfer ; car si les miracles qui ont été faits en toi avaient été faits à Sodome, elle serait restée jusqu'à ce jour."(Matthieu 11:23)

Un homme m'a dit il y a quelque temps : "Tu ne crois pas que David est tombé aussi bas que Saul ?"

Oui, il est tombé plus bas, parce que Dieu l'avait élevé plus haut. La différence est que lorsque Saül est tombé, il n'y a eu aucun signe de repentance, mais lorsque David est tombé, un gémissement s'est élevé de son cœur brisé, il y a eu une véritable repentance.

A man said to me some time ago: “Don't you think David fell as low as Saul?”

Yes, he fell lower, because God had lifted him up higher. The difference is that when Saul fell there was no sign of repentance, but when David fell, a wail went up from his broken heart, there was true repentance.
