Prier ensemble

Vous nous aidez également en priant ensemble pour nous, afin que le cadeau qui nous a été fait par le biais de nombreuses personnes soit remercié par beaucoup en notre nom. (2 Corinthiens 1:11)

Vous avez entendu l'histoire de l'enfant qui a été sauvé de l'incendie qui faisait rage dans une maison au quatrième étage. L'enfant s'est approché de la fenêtre et, alors que les flammes montaient de plus en plus haut, il a crié à l'aide. Un pompier a mis l'échelle en marche. Le vent a balayé les flammes près de lui, et il commençait à faire si chaud qu'il a hésité. 

Des milliers de personnes le regardaient, et leur cœur tremblait à l'idée que l'enfant devait périr. Quelqu'un dans la foule a pleuré : "Acclamez-le !" Les acclamations se sont succédées, et lorsque l'homme entendit cela, il reprit courage. Il s'est levé au milieu de la fumée et du feu, et a fait descendre l'enfant en toute sécurité.

Si vous ne pouvez pas aller sauver les mourants vous-même, vous pouvez au moins prier pour ceux qui le font et les encourager. Si vous le faites, le Seigneur bénira l'effort. Ne ronchonnez pas et ne critiquez pas ; il ne faut ni cœur ni cerveau pour le faire.

Ye also helping together by prayer for us, that for the gift bestowed upon us by the means of many persons thanks may be given by many on our behalf. (2 Corinthians 1:11)

You have heard the story of the child who was rescued from the fire that was raging in a house away up in the fourth story. The child came to the window, and as the flames were shooting up higher and higher cried out for help. A fireman started up the ladder. The wind swept the flames near him, and it was getting so hot that he wavered. 

Thousands looked on, and their hearts quaked at the thought of the child having to perish. Some one in the crowd cried: “Give him a cheer!” Cheer after cheer went up, and as the man heard he gathered fresh courage. Up he went into the midst of the smoke and the fire, and brought down the child in safety.

If you cannot go and rescue the perishing yourself, you can at least pray for those who do, and cheer them on. If you do, the Lord will bless the effort. Do not grumble and criticize; it takes neither heart nor brains to do that.
