La vie d'Hénoc

"Et Hénoc marcha avec Dieu ; et il ne fut pas ; car Dieu le prit." (Genèse 5:24)

"C'est par la foi qu'Hénoc a été traduit pour ne pas voir la mort ; et il n'a pas été trouvé, parce que Dieu l'avait traduit : car avant sa traduction il avait ce témoignage, qu'il plaisait à Dieu".(Hébreux 11:5)

On parle beaucoup de la sainteté. Tout vrai enfant de Dieu désire être saint, comme son Père qui est aux cieux est saint. Et la sainteté, c'est marcher avec Dieu. Hénoch n'avait qu'un seul but. Comme la vie devient simple lorsque nous n'avons qu'un seul objet à chercher, un seul but à atteindre : marcher avec Dieu, plaire à Dieu ! On a dit que le plus grand nombre de chrétiens arrive à être des criminels pardonnés. Comme il leur manque la joie et la bénédiction de marcher avec Dieu !

“By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God hadtranslated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.” (Hebrews 11:5)

A great deal is being said about holiness. Every true child of God desires to be holy, as His Father in heaven is holy. And holiness is walking with God. Enoch had only one object. How simple life becomes when we have only one object to seek, one purpose to fulfill—to walk with God, to please God! It has been said that the utmost many Christians get to is that they are pardoned criminals. How short they fall of the joy and blessedness of walking with God!
