Le bâton de Moise

Et tu prendras dans ta main ce bâton, avec lequel tu feras des signes. (Exode 4:17)

Lorsque Dieu Tout-Puissant s'est lié à cette canne, elle valait plus que toutes les armées que le monde avait jamais vues. Regardez et voyez comment ce bâton a fait son travail. Il a fait apparaître les fléaux des mouches et l'orage, et a transformé l'eau en sang. 

Mais ce n'était pas Moïse, ni la verge de Moïse qui faisait son travail, mais c'était le Dieu de la verge, le Dieu de Moïse. Tant que Dieu était avec lui, il ne pouvait pas échouer.

And thou shalt take this rod in thine hand, wherewith thou shalt do signs.(Exodus 4:17)

When God Almighty linked Himself to that rod, it was worth more than all the armies the world had ever seen. Look and see how that rod did its work. It brought up the plagues of flies, and the thunderstorm, and turned the water into blood. 

It was not Moses, however, nor Moses’ rod that did the work, but it was the God of the rod, the God of Moses. As long as God was with him, he could not fail.
