Le Christ a vaincu Satan par la parole. Il a simplement dit : "Il est écrit" ; et une deuxième fois, et une troisième fois, "Il est écrit" et ce fut la flèche qui lui a foncé dessus et l'a fait fuir. Le diable se moque un peu de nos sentiments. Il peut rendre nos sentiments bons ou mauvais ; il peut nous emmener sur la montagne ou dans la vallée, et nous ne pouvons le vaincre que par l'épée de l'Esprit, qui est la Parole.

It is written. (Matthew 4:4,7,10)

Christ overcame Satan by the word. He simply said: “It is written”; and a second time, and a third time, “It is written” and that was the arrow that shot right into him and drove him away. The devil does not care a bit about our feelings. He can make our feelings good or bad; he can take us up on the mountain, or down into the valley, and we can only vanquish him by the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word.
