À la table du Seigneur

Et Je vous établis un royaume, comme Mon Père Me l'a établi, afin que vous mangiez et buviez à Ma table dans Mon royaume, et que vous soyez assis sur des trônes pour juger les douze tribus d'Israël.(Luc 22:29-30)

Pensez au Seigneur qui s'abaisse et qui prend un pauvre ivrogne dans le caniveau, et qui met ses pieds sur le rocher, et un chant nouveau dans sa bouche, et qui l'élève au-dessus des puissances et des principautés, au-dessus des anges et des archanges, des séraphins et des chérubins, jusqu'au trône avec Lui-même !

Pensez-vous qu'un ange volant au-dessus des nations de la terre regarderait n'importe quel trône ? Quel grand moment ils ont passé il y a quelques années à mettre le tsar sur le trône de ! Nation après nation, ils ont envoyé des représentants pour assister aux cérémonies. Mais celle du Christ est bien plus que cela. Le sien est un royaume éternel. Le sien est un trône qui va durer éternellement ; et Il dit : "Vous serez assis avec Moi sur Mon trône." Lève les yeux ! Regarde les étoiles jusqu'à cette nuit ! Notre héritage est au-dessus.

Think of the Lord stooping down and taking a poor drunkard right up and out of the gutter, and putting his feet on the rock, and a new song in his mouth, and lifting him up above powers and principalities, above angels and archangels, seraphims and cherubims, up, up, up, on to the throne with Himself!

Do you suppose that an angel flying over the nations of the earth would look at any throne? What a great time they had a few years ago putting the Czar on to the throne of ! Nation after nation sent representatives to assist at the ceremonies. But Christ’s is more than that. His is an everlasting kingdom. His is a throne that is going to endure forever; and He says, “Ye shall sit with Me on My throne.” Man, look up! Look at the stars to-night! Our inheritance is above.
