Je leur donne la vie éternelle ; ils ne périront jamais, et personne ne les arrachera de Ma main. Mon Père, qui M'a donné, est plus grand que tous ; et nul ne peut les arracher de la main de Mon Père. Moi et Mon Père sommes Un. (Jean 10:28-30)

Ce sont des versets précieux pour ceux qui ont peur de tomber, qui craignent de ne pas tenir le coup. C'est l'œuvre de Dieu de tenir. C'est l'affaire du berger de garder les moutons. Qui a entendu parler des brebis qui vont ramener le berger ?

Les gens ont l'idée qu'ils doivent se garder eux-mêmes et garder le Christ aussi. C'est une idée fausse. C'est le travail du berger de s'occuper d'elles, et de prendre soin de ceux qui lui font confiance. Il a promis de le faire.

Un capitaine de mer, en mourant, a dit : "Gloire à Dieu, l'ancre tient." Il a fait confiance au Christ. Son ancre s'était accrochée au rocher solide.

And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of My hand. My Father, which gave them Me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of My Father’s hand. I and My Father are One. (John 10:28-30)

These are precious verses to those who are afraid of falling, who fear that they will not hold out. It is God’s work to hold. It is the Shepherd’s business to keep the sheep. Whoever heard of the sheep going to bring back the shepherd?

People have an idea that they have to keep themselves and Christ too. It is a false idea. It is the work of the Shepherd to look after them, and to take care of those who trust Him. He has promised to do it.

A sea captain, when dying said, “Glory to God, the anchor holds.” He trusted in Christ. His anchor had taken hold of the solid Rock.
