En vérité, en vérité (3)

Jésus lui répondit : En vérité, en vérité, je te le dis, si un homme ne naît de nouveau, il ne peut voir le royaume de Dieu. (Jean 3:3)

La seule façon d'entrer dans le royaume de Dieu est d'y "naître". La loi de ce pays exige que le président naisse dans le pays. Lorsque des étrangers viennent sur nos rivages, ils n'ont pas le droit de se plaindre d'une telle loi, qui leur interdit de devenir président un jour. Maintenant, Dieu n'a-t-il pas le droit de faire une loi selon laquelle tous ceux qui deviennent héritiers de la vie éternelle doivent être "nés" dans Son royaume ?

Un homme non régénéré préférerait être en enfer qu'au ciel. Prenez un homme dont le cœur est plein de corruption et de méchanceté, et placez-le au ciel parmi les purs, les saints et les rachetés ; et il ne voudrait pas y rester.

Il est certain que si nous voulons être heureux au ciel, nous devons commencer à faire un paradis ici sur terre. Le ciel est un endroit préparé pour un peuple préparé. Si les hommes étaient emmenés au ciel comme ils le sont par nature, sans que leur cœur ne soit régénéré, il y aurait une autre rébellion dans le ciel. Le ciel est rempli d'une compagnie de ceux qui sont nés deux fois.

Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. (John 3:3)

The only way to get into the kingdom of God is to be "born" into it. The law of this country requires that the President should be born in the country. When foreigners come to our shores they have no right to complain against such a law, which forbids them from ever becoming presidents. Now, has not God a right to make a law that all those who become heirs of eternal life must be "born" into His kingdom?

An unregenerated man would rather be in hell than in heaven. Take a man whose heart is full of corruption and wickedness, and place him in heaven among the pure, the holy and the redeemed; and he would not want to stay there.

Certainly, if we are to be happy in heaven we must begin to make a heaven here on earth. Heaven is a prepared place for a prepared people. If men were taken to heaven just as they are by nature, without having their hearts regenerated, there would be another rebellion in heaven. Heaven is filled with a company of those who have been TWICE BORN.
