Vous avez été achetés à un prix élevé

 "Ne savez-vous pas que votre corps est le temple du Saint-Esprit qui est en vous, que vous avez de Dieu, et que vous ne vous appartenez pas à vous-mêmes ? Car vous avez été achetés à un prix élevé ; glorifiez donc Dieu dans votre corps et dans votre esprit, qui appartiennent à Dieu." (1 Cor 6:19,20)

Je pense qu'il est clairement enseigné dans l'Écriture que chaque croyant a le Saint-Esprit qui habite en lui, qu'il y a un résident divin dans chaque enfant de Dieu. Il peut éteindre l'Esprit de Dieu, et il peut ne pas glorifier Dieu comme il le devrait, mais s'il croit au Seigneur Jésus-Christ, le Saint-Esprit habite en lui.

Mais je veux attirer l'attention sur un autre fait. Je crois aujourd'hui que, bien que les hommes et les femmes chrétiens aient le Saint-Esprit qui habite en eux, il n'habite pas en eux avec puissance ; en d'autres termes, Dieu a un grand nombre de fils et de filles sans puissance.

“Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.” (1 Cor 6:19,20)

I think it is clearly taught in the Scripture that every believer has the Holy Ghost dwelling in him, that there is a divine resident in every child of God. He may be quenching the Spirit of God, and he may not glorify God as he should, but if he is a believer on the Lord Jesus Christ, the Holy Ghost dwells in him.

But I want to call attention to another fact. I believe to-day that though Christian men and women have the Holy Spirit dwelling in them, He is not dwelling within them in power; in other words, God has a great many sons and daughters without power.
