Le diable pensait avoir fait une chose très sage en faisant emprisonner Paul, mais il se trompait beaucoup, il en a fait trop pour une fois. Je ne doute pas que Paul ait remercié Dieu depuis lors pour cette prison philippine, et pour ses galons et son emprisonnement là-bas. Le monde en a fait plus que ce que nous ne saurons jamais avant d'arriver au ciel.

The devil thought he had done a very wise thing when he got Paul into prison, but he was very much mistaken; he overdid it for once. I have no doubt Paul has thanked God ever since for that Philippian jail, and for his stripes and imprisonment there. The world has made more by it than we shall ever know till we get to heaven.
